Remove Projects from Recent Projects in Visual Studio Start Page

In this post we will discuss how to remove projects from Recent Projects in Visual Studio Start Page.

Also you can check out:

- Advantages of WCF in Asp.Net

We can remove the recent project through Registry Editor.

1) Go to Start -> Run and then type regedit.

2) Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Softwares -> Microsoft -> VisualStudio -> 11.0 (For Visual Studio 2012) or 10.0 (For Visual Studio 2010) or 9.0 (For Visual Studio 2008) or 8.0 ((For Visual Studio 2005) -> ProjectMRUList

3) Select and delete the Projects, which we don't want to show in the Recent Projects List of Visual Studio.

Then next time when you open visual studio the deleted projects will not appear in the Recent Project list.
